Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing from his traditional IDM and techno roots, Chris Clark constructs a sweeping, classically-oriented conceptual piece concerning the global climate crisis. 'Playground in a Lake' utilizes heavily processed string ensembles, chilling piano melodies, and choir arrangements to score a bleak, apocalyptic narrative. Released via the historic Deutsche Grammophon label, it highlights his sophisticated, cinematic command of modern classical and ambient drone.
