Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chenier's second full-length album was recorded mainly in Houston in 1966 by producer Chris Strachwitz, and filled out with the 1964 recording of 'Ay Ai Ai', his first single for the label. His uncle Morris 'Big' Chenier plays fiddle throughout and steps forward on 'Black Gal', which became a regional hit.
