Mixtus Orbis

Album Notes & Community Reviews

An incredibly ambitious cross-cultural experiment, 'Mixtus Orbis' fuses the strict microtonal disciplines of Indian ragas with European chamber jazz and electric rock. The group employs an astonishing array of traditional eastern instrumentation alongside modern electric bass and drum kits to achieve a seamless, hypnotic hybrid. It stands as a remarkably prescient example of highly intellectual, globally integrated fusion.
