Album Notes & Community Reviews

Colin Stetson redefines the capabilities of the bass saxophone on this intense solo recording. Using circular breathing and mic placement that captures the clacking keys and his own voice, he creates a dense, polyphonic wall of sound without overdubs. It is a visceral, physical performance that pushes the instrument to its limits.
