Album Notes & Community Reviews
Concluding his 'New History Warfare' trilogy, Colin Stetson pushes his solo saxophone techniques to their absolute limit. Using circular breathing and strategic microphone placement, he creates a dense, multi-layered sound without overdubs, featuring guest vocals from Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). The album is a visceral and exhausting display of physical endurance and sonic innovation.
