Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released on Good Life Recordings, 'The Other Cheek' is a landmark EP from the Belgian H8000 hardcore scene. The record is defined by its fusion of hardcore punk intensity with heavy, metallic riffing and complex song structures that pushed the boundaries of the genre. Its raw production, combined with harsh vocals and cryptic, apocalyptic lyrics concerning themes like straight-edge and animal rights, solidified a darker, more aggressive evolution of metalcore in Europe.
