Congress (H8000) is a pioneering Belgian metalcore band formed in 1993, key to developing the "edge metal" sound by blending hardcore with technical,, thrashy metal. Associated with the H8000 straight edge scene, they are known for releases like Angry with the Sun and have recently reunited for live performances.
