Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing the momentum of their revered debut, French ensemble Cortex dives deeper into intricate, groove-oriented jazz-funk on 'Vol. 2'. The interplay between Alain Mion's swirling electric piano and the group's tight, syncopated rhythm section produces a highly psychedelic and energetic atmosphere. The sessions maintain the band's signature blend of complex technicality and deep, mellow improvisational flair.
