Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicating an entire session to the compositions and arrangements of Neal Hefti, the legendary bandleader showcases the sophisticated, tightly knit sound of his 'New Testament' orchestra. The charts perfectly balance robust, powerful brass sections with laid-back, deeply swinging rhythms. The recording cemented Hefti's role as a primary architect of the ensemble's modern identity.
