Written and recorded during strict lockdowns in Melbourne, the Australian songwriter shifted away from the loud, grungy garage rock of her previous albums. The intimate project relies heavily on primitive drum machines, soft acoustic guitars, and warmly optimistic reflections on finding joy in mundane isolation. It is her most deeply relaxed and creatively gentle record, showcasing a highly vulnerable side to her deadpan storytelling.
