Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from his role as a legendary hard rock hired gun, Cozy Powell delivers a ferocious, highly technical solo debut heavily rooted in instrumental fusion. Accompanied by elite musicians like Gary Moore and Jack Bruce, 'Over the Top' places Powell's thunderous, incredibly precise drumming at the absolute center of complex jazz-rock compositions. It stands as a formidable showcase of rhythmic virtuosity from one of rock's premier percussionists.
