Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring key personnel from The Birthday Party, the Australian expatriate collective relocated to West Berlin to craft this suffocating, cinematic masterpiece. Simon Bonney's theatrical, narrative-driven lyricism is underscored by Rowland S. Howard's jagged, heavily reverberated guitar work, defining the bleak elegance of the era's gothic punk blues.
