Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as one of the most notoriously polarizing releases in extreme metal history, the legendary technical death metal band radically shifted their sound towards modern deathcore. Introducing new vocalist Matt McGachy and keyboardist Maggie Durand, the album prominently features clean vocal choruses, melodic metalcore breakdowns, and heavy synthesizer usage. The drastic stylistic departure sparked intense backlash from long-time fans, making it an infamous genre flashpoint.
