Album Notes & Community Reviews
A foundational text in the history of Dutch rock music, 'Desolation' establishes Cuby + Blizzards as Europe's premier purveyors of gritty, unvarnished electric blues outside of the UK. Harry Muskee's raw, weathered vocals and Eelco Gelling's blistering guitar work perfectly channel the spirit of Chicago blues masters into a heavy, garage-rock context. The album won the prestigious Edison Award and launched their storied career.
