Album Notes & Community Reviews

David Tibet transitions Current 93 away from pure industrial noise toward a chilling, acoustic-driven neofolk sound. Utilizing sparse acoustic guitars, funereal percussion, and haunting tape loops, the album frames his apocalyptic, eschatological poetry with a sense of profound religious dread. 'Imperium' is a deeply serious, atmospheric masterwork of dark, surrealist folk music.
