Happy Hollow
by Cursive
Tim Kasher constructs a biting conceptual narrative set in a fictional, hypocritical Midwestern town to critique religious dogma and suburban malaise. The band replaces their signature cello with a five-piece horn section, driving the energetic, heavily orchestrated indie rock arrangements. It is a highly theatrical and sharply written entry in their revered catalog.
