Biography
Cursive are an indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, formed in 1995 by Tim Kasher, Matt Maginn, Steve Pedersen and Clint Schnase. Reformed in 1999 with guitarist Ted Stevens after a short split, they made their name with the concept records 'Domestica' (2000) and 'The Ugly Organ' (2003). Ten studio albums through 'Devourer' (2024) trace Kasher's confessional writing across emo and post-hardcore, with later records adding cello, trumpet and keyboards to the guitar band core.
