Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as a spiritual successor to their 1970s output, 'Renascence' finds the British funk group updating their signature fusion of soul, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms with a modern production sheen and new collaborators. The songwriting balances spacious, infectious grooves against spiritually and politically aware lyrics that reflect on perseverance and a world chasing empty fame.
