Album Notes & Community Reviews
The legendary West Coast trio delivered a profoundly dark, incredibly paranoid third album that sharply contrasted the bouncy, weed-fueled anthems of their previous commercial peaks. DJ Muggs's production is relentlessly murky and slow-moving, heavily utilizing eerie, discordant samples to match B-Real's deeply cynical, violent lyrical focus. The dense, heavily atmospheric recording remains one of the most uniquely sinister mainstream hip-hop releases of the era.
