Album Notes & Community Reviews
Daft Punk's debut, 'Homework', is a raw and spontaneous collection that established the blueprint for French house by fusing American house and techno with disco and funk influences. Recorded in a home studio, the album's unpolished yet powerful production is defined by aggressive filters and abrasive textures, exemplified by the G-funk-infused instrumental "Da Funk" and the hypnotic, repetitive vocal hook of "Around the World." Its influential sound brought the burgeoning French electronic scene to global prominence and redefined the possibilities of DIY music production.
