Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a shift in lineup, Peter Cortner stepped in to guide the Washington D.C. group toward a more melodic and accessible vocal approach. The record balances the fervent energy of mid-eighties hardcore with emerging pop-punk sensibilities and highly introspective lyricism. This stylistic pivot proved highly influential on the rapidly developing emocore subculture.
