Asphalt for Eden

'Asphalt for Eden' marked the 2016 return of experimental hip-hop group Dälek, their first full-length album in six years and a debut for the metal-focused label Profound Lore Records. The album fuses conscious hip-hop with a unique backdrop of noise, dark ambient textures, and shoegaze elements, continuing the group's pioneering sound. Crafted by the core of Will Brooks (MC Dälek) and Mike Mare (production), with DJ rEK on turntables, the record is a dense, atmospheric work that explores societal frustration through a layered and abrasive sonic lens.
