Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking his first solo pop/rock album in nearly forty years, 'Big Mess' finds the legendary film composer unleashing a sprawling, manic collection of apocalyptic art rock. Driven by the social anxieties and political turbulence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Elfman weaves grand orchestral arrangements with biting industrial metal guitars. The record serves as an intense, unfiltered creative purge that contrasts sharply with his controlled cinematic work.
