Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured at George Wein's influential Boston venue, this live set showcases an ensemble perfectly balancing intense rhythmic drive with sophisticated, classical restraint. The remarkably telepathic, contrapuntal interplay between the pianist and Paul Desmond firmly anchored their immense mainstream popularity.
