Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping away from his famous quartet, the pianist offers a rare, completely unaccompanied solo recital that emphasizes his classical influences. The improvisations demonstrate a heavy reliance on block chords and complex counterpoint, presenting an introverted perspective on standard repertoire.
