Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in front of a highly enthusiastic live nightclub audience, this exceptionally successful release expertly contrasts fiery, complex improvisation with deeply relaxed, intellectual coolness. The remarkably tight group dynamics successfully brought highly sophisticated, classically tinged polytonality directly into the mainstream pop consciousness.
