Album Notes & Community Reviews

David Allan Coe's sophomore album helped lay the foundational attitude and grit of the outlaw country movement. Blending humorous storytelling with deeply melancholic honky-tonk balladry, the record established his maverick persona long before the broader Nashville establishment embraced the outlaw aesthetic.
