Biography
David Allan Coe is an American outlaw-country singer-songwriter from Akron, Ohio. A songwriter behind hits for *Tanya Tucker* and *Johnny Paycheck*, he built his own legend on albums like 'Penitentiary Blues', 'Once Upon a Rhyme' and 'Longhaired Redneck', singing honky-tonk songs drawn from a life of prisons, roads and defiance. His concerts still draw the outlaw faithful decades after his commercial peak years.
