Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving amidst a highly prolific late-career resurgence, the third solo album from the folk-rock legend in four years leans heavily into the intricate jazz-pop stylings reminiscent of Steely Dan. The tracking highlights his remarkably preserved, crystal-clear tenor vocals accompanied by complex chord progressions and sophisticated, polished studio musicianship, prominently featuring a reunion with his son James Raymond. The record affirms his enduring ability as a top-tier vocalist and songwriter.
