Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as the group's first project following the 2023 passing of founding member Trugoy the Dove, 'Cabin in the Sky' serves as both a tribute and a continuation of De La Soul's revered legacy. The album's production, handled by mainstays like DJ Premier and Pete Rock, grounds the work in a soulful, warm sound that incorporates posthumous verses and production from Trugoy. Thematically, the album navigates loss and resilience, balancing its reflective tone with the group's signature organic and playful musicality, and features an extensive list of collaborators including Nas, Q-Tip, and Black Thought.
