Biography
Tariq Trotter, known as Black Thought, is a Philadelphia rapper and the co-founder and lead MC of *The Roots*. Formed with *Questlove* in 1987, the group built hip-hop around a live band on albums such as 'Things Fall Apart' and later became a fixture of late-night television.
