Youthquake

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Propelled to global ubiquity by the massive success of the single 'You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)', this sophomore album stands as a defining monument of 1980s Hi-NRG club music. 'Youthquake' was famously the first full-length project produced by the legendary Stock Aitken Waterman trio, who layered relentlessly pounding synth-bass sequences under Pete Burns' theatrical, androgynous vocal delivery. The record dramatically reshaped the trajectory of mainstream British dance-pop.
