Kintsugi
by Death Cab for Cutie
Named after the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, 'Kintsugi' is a deeply personal and melancholic breakup album, largely informed by Ben Gibbard's divorce. It also marks the final album with founding member and producer Chris Walla. The record is a polished and atmospheric blend of their classic indie rock sound with the electronic textures they explored on their previous album, creating a poignant and beautifully crafted work about finding beauty in imperfection.
