Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as a surprise instrumental "soundtrack," 'Fashion Week' is a collection of electronic and industrial hip-hop tracks that notably omits the vocals of frontman MC Ride. The production, driven by Andy Morin's synthesizer work and Zach Hill's drumming, creates a sonic palette that critics found dark and imaginative, yet more accessible and less menacing than the group's typical output. The album also functioned as a cryptic promotional tool, with the song titles acrostically spelling out "JENNY DEATH WHEN" in anticipation of the second half of their forthcoming double album, 'The Powers That B'.
