Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released unexpectedly as a free download, 'Government Plates' is Death Grips' most abstract and electronic-focused release. MC Ride's vocals take a backseat, often reduced to repetitive mantras, while Zach Hill and Andy Morin's production takes center stage with glitchy 3D models and frantic rhythms. It feels more like an art installation than a rap album, pushing their chaotic sound into even weirder territory.
