The Money Store

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As the major-label debut for Death Grips, 'The Money Store' offers an abrasive and volatile fusion of experimental hip-hop, industrial noise, and punk energy. The production, from Zach Hill and Andy Morin, is defined by a dense barrage of frantic electronic beats, distorted synthesizers, and chaotic, glitch-like samples, creating a relentlessly aggressive sonic landscape. MC Ride's shouted, cryptic vocal performance drives the album's paranoid and confrontational themes, solidifying the record as a critically acclaimed and influential statement of uncompromising intensity.
