Fred Warmsley completely sheds his earlier, highly chaotic noise and club-oriented aesthetics for an incredibly serene, deeply immersive ambient project. The album explores profound feelings of isolation and geographical displacement, weaving delicate synthesizer loops, soft choral vocal samples, and distant field recordings into incredibly vast, meditative soundscapes. It marked a remarkably mature, highly focused evolution for the electronic producer.
