Monomania

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing from the polished dream-pop of their previous work, Deerhunter embraces a gritty, 'nocturnal garage' sound on 'Monomania'. The album is characterized by distorted vocals, abrasive guitar textures, and a raw, urgent energy that captures Bradford Cox's more confrontational songwriting. It is a dense and visceral exploration of isolation and obsession, delivered with a lo-fi edge that pays homage to classic underground rock.
