Album Notes & Community Reviews

Abandoning the funk-heavy, P-Funk indebted sound of his debut, the Oakland emcee aligns entirely with his Hieroglyphics crew for this dark, linguistically complex sophomore effort. Utilizing dusty, obscure jazz loops and an off-kilter, rapid-fire flow, the album eschews mainstream accessibility in favor of uncompromising, underground boom bap lyricism.
