Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Exciter' is a marked departure for Depeche Mode, heavily favoring sparse, ambient downtempo over their traditional aggressive synth-rock. The album relies on subtle acoustic guitars and delicate electronic programming to craft a deeply romantic, melancholic, and lush atmosphere.
