Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as a track-for-track live reproduction of their immensely successful studio album, this recording captures the band during the infamously chaotic Devotional Tour. The arrangements prominently feature Alan Wilder's live drumming and Dave Gahan's increasingly gritty vocal delivery, pushing their synth-pop roots into abrasive, alternative rock territory. The resulting document highlights a group operating at the peak of their stadium-sized ambition.
