Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming with producer James Ford, the legendary synth-pop pioneers deliver their most overtly political album in decades. The record features driving, industrial-tinged electronic arrangements that frame Dave Gahan's cynical, impassioned vocals addressing global inequality, societal apathy, and the rise of right-wing politics. It marked a dark, socially conscious late-career highlight.
