Taking a radical departure from his typical progressive metal bombast, the Canadian musician constructs an entirely ambient, noise-driven soundscape. The intensely dark, instrumental record acts as a sonic diary of insomnia and anxiety, utilizing shifting drones and unsettling audio collages to build an oppressive, cold atmosphere.
