Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally self-released in 2005 and famously re-recorded for this definitive issue, 'Butcher the Weak' solidified Devourment's status as pioneers of the brutal slam subgenre. Characterized by incredibly guttural vocals, down-tuned chugging riffs, and mid-tempo groove sections, the release codified the sonic blueprint for a generation of extreme metal bands. It remains a polarizing yet highly influential cornerstone of underground death metal.
