Following the incredibly bitter, heartbroken aesthetic of their previous self-titled release, Dave Longstreth rebuilds his indie-pop project with a remarkably bright, optimistic tone. The album features a massive cast of guest vocalists and incredibly complex, horn-heavy arrangements that harken back to the band's most joyous, highly syncopated material. It acts as a beautifully quirky, highly rhythmic celebration of creative and romantic renewal.
