Album Notes & Community Reviews
David Longstreth's deeply bizarre sophomore effort features fragmented, wildly unpredictable acoustic guitar lines and highly eccentric vocal gymnastics. The lo-fi recordings completely deconstruct traditional folk structures, presenting a chaotic and challenging vision of avant-garde songwriting. The challenging nature of the material polarized early listeners but laid the eccentric foundation for the band's future indie-rock acclaim.
