Album Notes & Community Reviews
Moving away from the complex conceptualism of their previous work, 'Swing Lo Magellan' focuses on songwriting and direct emotional expression. The arrangements are still quirky and intricate, but the production is rawer and more spontaneous, often keeping studio accidents. Dave Longstreth's melodies are angular yet catchy, creating a unique brand of experimental pop.
