Disco D's first official mix document, 'Straight Out tha Trunk' captures the raunchy, high-speed ghettotech style he had developed as a teenage DJ in Ann Arbor and Detroit. It appeared on his own GTI imprint, its initials standing for Ghetto Tech Institute, in the same period when his remixes for Eightball & MJG and Da Brat were opening his route into rap production.
