Released following Jon Nödtveidt's release from prison, the band's final album controversially abandons their pioneering black metal roots for polished, mid-tempo melodic death metal. Deeply intertwined with the Misanthropic Luciferian Order's anti-cosmic philosophy, the lyrics operate as an occult grimoire. It precedes the frontman's tragic suicide by just a few months.
