Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a productive European stint, 'Dizzy in Paris' pairs the legendary trumpeter with local French musicians and fellow American expatriates. The sessions highlight Gillespie's unparalleled technical command and harmonic invention, operating brilliantly within both blistering bop tempos and relaxed, lyrical ballads. The record is a testament to the international reach and cross-cultural exchange inherent in post-war modern jazz.
